june 2008-The 1503AVD has been selected and tested by NGC and Mantech to work in Iraq with two backup generators whereas Acumentrics couldnt work as well. AVD means auto voltage detection from 240v to 120v 50/60 hz.
Powerstar has been delivering versions of the PS6000 since 1993. at least the sixth version of a popular size.

he PS6002 2KVA Line interactive UPS is upgraded from 1500 to 1950 Watts output power. As the Toolman says, “More POWER!!”
April 2008- The PS502-750 is upgraded to a “green” design with more recyclable materials used in is case. It’s more efficient too. It also picked up 2 more outlets- now it has 10 And 3 of those outlets power down now if your PC goes into hibernation so your printer and external audio amp etc. will power off when the PC is. We manufacture this small unit in the shape of a brick for shipboard delta power. It’s a very good (and cheap) investment to protect your electronic equipment on board.
March 2008- The PS6005 is upgraded to 4000 WATTS OUTPUT power from 3650. No extra charge for the extra capacity. Thank you very much.
March 2008- The PS1503 AVD 1.5KVA mini tower has been accepted by Northrup Grumman to be used in Iraq with redundant generators. This was a difficult issue to solve as the generators don’t always make the frequency they are designed to. But our Engineering Dept. has designed a nifty little circuit to keep the UPS operational until the generator “comes up to speed”. This is a unique design; call us and we can perhaps help you too with the “UPS backed up by ‘slow to stabilize’ generator” issue.
By the way, AVD means “Automatic Voltage Detection”. This unit can tell whether it’s connected to 110 or 240 V and can keep running. Another soldier-proof Powerstar advantage.
